Our 5-Star Patient
Care regimen includes many things. Starting out, we have a
comprehensive examination where
we check for
cancer of the mouth and neck,
we take complete set of x-rays, we take a diagnostic set of digital photographs,
we check the patient’s gum health, and we check for decay. The purpose
of gathering all this information is that we are able to have a complete
baseline record of all aspects of a person’s mouth. This allows us
to make a proper diagnosis for the patients’ future. Our goal is to
help patients keep their teeth for a lifetime. And most patients will tell
you the care and
attention they receive in their comprehensive exam is the most thorough "check-up"
that they have EVER received. They’ll also share that it is only a
part of the home-like atmosphere at Dr. LaDuque’s office. There is
always hot coffee brewing, there are massage chairs, headphones with CD players,
and we’ll
occasionally have the smell of homemade bread or cookies filling the air.
As well, Dr. L offers conscious sedation. Conscious sedation, sometimes incorrectly
referred to as “sleep dentistry”, is where the patient takes
two small pills and utilizes the nitrous oxide to stay completely comfortable
during
treatment. Sedation in this manner is extremely useful for patients that
are dental-phobics or for long/difficult appointments. This treatment has
allowed
hundreds of patients to receive long-needed treatment that many times allows
them to gain self-esteem and self-confidence as far as their appearance and
their overall health are concerned. One
of the most important aspects of Dr. LaDuque’s office, and one that
they are proud of, is the desire and follow-through to help patients keep their
teeth for a lifetime. This is accomplished with a comprehensive exam, great
documentation, exceptional treatment and patient care, one-on-one patient education,
modern materials and technology and most importantly, with use of the extensive
periodontal department. The periodontal department consists of the hygienists
